McDavid was 17 when he put up 49 in only 20 games.
Schiefele was 19 and put up 41 in 20 games, for a higher per game pace than Suzuki
Marner was 18 and managed his 44 points in only 18 games, putting him right up there with McDavid in terms of points per game
Hall's 36 was a a 17 year old and in 20 games, actually still higher than Suzuki on a per-game basis.
Debrincat probably has the most comparable postseason performance of the bunch.
Again, not to take away from Suzuki, his excellent playoff performance, or his NHL upside, because of course performing comparably to Debrincat is still pretty excellent. I just don't think we necessarily want to invoke guys like McDavid, Hall, or even Marner or Schiefele in a discussion about Suzuki without qualifying it a bit
Thank you! We need to adjust our comparable like you said.
I'm a habs fan and I really like Suzuki but he won't be a top star player like those four.
Highest ceiling (dream) : Artemi Panarin
Realistic comparable : Oliver Bjorkstrand
Worst case : Daniel Sprong
