    Default Projections for Beauvillier?

He was very average after a decent second year and I don't see much being said about him anymore. 21 yrs old, 1st round pick, has anyone seen any analysis/projections on him for next year or beyond?

Bad season with heightened expectations. This is one guy I'd be patient with. There's 30g - 60+pt upside sitting there.

His 36-point year happened while shooting over 16% and logging third-line minutes (under 15). He has good linemates but he's clearly sheltered. He has to grow as a player to earn more minutes and Trotz won't make it easy.

On the flip side he's heading into his fourth year and the Isles might lose some key pieces up front so there will probably be more opportunity for him to get more minutes. In a true top-six role I can see him getting 40-50 points.

meh...hard to say much about his season when no one on the Islanders had a good year, statistically-speaking.

If Barzal barely gets over 60 pts with Trotz' system, we need to seriously lower expectations for everyone on this team. I don't really see much changing for Beauvillier next year, in terms of production. He might get an increased role if players like Lee and Eberle leave as UFAs, but anything around 40 pts is the limit for him.

I never had a super high ceiling in mind for Beau to begin with and having Trotz turning everybody on the Island into a D-man doesn't help. As long as he's there 50pts is probably the cap.

I'm still bullish on his ability to score 30 but as usual , the isles are a work in progress . Trotz moved him around the lineup a lot because he's a bit versatile so he didnt exactly have any steady linemates for long stretches .

Beauvillier has turned it on these playoffs! PP time and solid top-6 linemates. What kind of numbers can he be expected to put up over the next full regular season?

Traditionally low-scoring team and defensive-minded coach, not a lot of superstars on the team, I'm not willing to say he gets more points than somewhere in the 50s, which would be fine production.

He's shooting over 22%, that won't hold up. In Trotz's system I see him as a 50-60 point player. On another team he's 60-65.

He's looked fantastic in these playoffs and certainly something to build off in a shortened off-season. Trotz seems to like him on PP1 so that's a nice role to slide into.

He's definitely worth keeping an eye on as a sneaky player for next season.

Plus he gets healthy peripherals so he's a budding fantasy stud if not superstar.

Not sure the ceiling is stud/star/superstar level, but 50 points with Trotz or 60 points with most other NHL teams sounds reasonable.
