Laine vs Svechnikov +

League is a 20 team salary cap dynasty, same scoring as league in sig.

The deal on the table is Svechnikov + Troy Terry for Laine


Obviously Laine is the better player and in a vacuum I'd do this but with contracts taken into account, Svechnikov is a great cost controlled asset while Laine could get 8M+ on the contract he signs this off-season. If that were to happen it would mean I'd need to drop one of Schwartz or Palat as well, and would still put me very close to the cap.

With Laine's season, and the Jet's cap situation, I really wouldn't be surprised to see a bridge contract for him.

Good chance this is the lowest point to buy on Laine. I'd probably do it.

I would rather Svech. Laine may score more goals, but I think Svech will be close and will make up for it in the other categories. Add in Terry and the contract situations, and I'm content with my choice.
