Problem: $0.8mln cap space and Point's pending >$9mln raise.
    Block (?): Henrique $5.8M/1790fp (143rd best F), Foligno $5.5M/1879fp (131 best F), Niskanen $5.8M/1814fp (48th best D)
They are pretty solid ... with a full league and rosters (ie. 31*12=372 rostered F, 186 D)
That said it's a full cap league, they are relatively expensive and likely just past their prime.
Their trade value isn't super high. ie. I picked up Connor Murphy for picks 2021 ~55 overall and 2021 ~85 overall. Nick Foligno for 2019 85th overall + Eggenberger

That said, what do you think Henrique's value is? I can't really take back a lot of salary. Reality is 30yo over paid guys are not worth a lot and prospects are overvalued.
Any thoughts on my block? who of them I should move 1st?
Inclined to move 1, wait and see what the cap raise is ($4mln?)
Receiving picks in return also is helpful for the exposed list ... but getting back a 1st (1-31) is out of the question. Getting back pick 32-62 for 30% of a 3rd liner (in 3 years) in exchange for a 2nd liner doesn't seem to make sense to me (?). I suggested something like Benson for Henrique.
Most of my league follows this forum ... so they know who I am ... but anyways I'm always open to fair trades and fair advice, so fire away.

The thing is that the guys you're going to want to shop won't get you much return, and the guys you're going to want to keep will get the most trade interest.
Niskanen and Henrique are probably droppable. Kessel is the first guy I would look to trade. He's already one of the lowest value for money guys on your roster, and he's not going to out-perform a point per game with 35 pops.
The other thing I might try and do is trade Holtby for a bit of a lesser/cheaper goalie. Maybe someone like Greiss, Raanta, etc. Save a bit and you won't lose much production.

I would take Damiani for Niskanen. You're not likely getting anything better for him.

You could go for either. I don't know Madden that well, but dobbesrprospets seems to be high on him. Could be the better play over Damiani.

I'd take any remotely decent prospect for the guys you've got on your block. They are somewhat fungible, so I think you might be able to find similar value on the wire.

Thanks guys. Just for some perspective:
    Block: Henrique $5.8M/1790fp (143rd best F), Foligno $5.5M/1879fp (131 best F), Niskanen $5.8M/1814fp (48th best D)
    That's:
    143rd out of 372
    131st out of 372
    48th out of 186

These guys aren't remotely droppable, nor even close to what is on the waiver wire. They earned 1790, 1879 and 1814 fantasy points last year. The top waiver wire F & D earned 1065 (almost 1/2 the production) and 792 (less than 1/2 the production) fantasy points, respectively, last year. I'd be looking at Trevor Lewis and Ben Harpur.

    I took Sanford for Henrique.

    Thoughts please on:
Tufte, DAL -- 6.5/7, big but he is fast/agile enough. Moving up the P ranks. Arrival 2021
Parsons, CAL -- G, could be ok. Arrival 2022
    Foegele, CAR -- 6/8.5, PNHLe 17pts, did well in playoffs -- 23, $800k FP 845

    For

    Niskanen 32, $5.75, FP 1,814
Brossoit 26, $650k, FP 1,084 (rule change consideration)
    Foligno 31, $5.5, FP 1,880

Harpur is an upgrade to your cap roster. He is making 0.725 million this year which is 12.5% of what Niskanen makes for ~40% of the production. He's also young, and on a team where there is playing time to be had - I suspect Cody Ceci is on his way out of Ottawa as he will cost too much. They can't have a competitive salary on a decent player when they have over $11 million in dead money.

I really like the deal where you get Foegele, but I don't want to give up Brossoit to do it. If you can do it without the goalies, it's a win.
