Default Who is next year's Zach Parise

I know it's early, but I'm just wondering people's thoughts on this after reading Rizzee's write up of Zach Parise's resurgence this year.

Who do you think could stand to bounce back after being written off after this current season?

Getzlaf maybe? I think he bounces back... just not sure how many people completely wrote him off yet. I could even see Corey Perry having a bounceback year but not to the Parise extent.

David Backes could still be a solid multi-cat guy if he ends up somewhere other than Boston (I'm thinking buy-out and signing a cheap deal on a young team in need of leadership)
    Without me, it's only "aweso".

Maybe Wayne Simmonds fits that bill? His numbers don't really suggest bounceback but he was clearly hobbled by injuries so who knows. Could be worth a dice roll later in drafts.

Derek Stepan, Kyle Turris as well

One difference with Parise than most of these names is that he's been hampered by back problems since arriving in Minn. this season was his first pain free - since his back surgery last season (which he could have had a couple years earlier).

I think Simmonds is good name for a potential comeback. Due to all his injuries over the past two years. Likely a late rounder in 1yr drafts & probably available on the wire come Oct 8 n 12-14tm dynasties
Getz is another I really like. He'll come cheap

Louis Eriksson is one that could decide to wake up. I just wouldn't pay to find out

Getzlaf is the first name that popped into my mind. Simmonds, Brassard, and Turris are good suggestions as well.

Joe Thornton: He had a slow start to the season but finished with 33 points in 39 games (a 69-point pace). Depends on where he signs though.

I want to throw Mikko Koivu's name out there, but I don't really see any reason why he might bounce back.

Jeff Carter is an excellent candidate. Everyone on the Kings had a down year. Just remember that Carter shot a career-low shooting percentage while still seeing the same amount of ice time and still played more than half of the Kings power-play minutes. He's got to shoot the puck a lot more to get back to his normal success, but it is doable.

He's not really in the same boat as Parise, but Jamie Benn would be my top choice for a bounce-back season.

Nice to see my prediction (one of the few that made me look good.....lol) influence a forum post. Chances are I can't get something like this correct again, but if I had to guess right now I'd say Pacioretty or Okposo.

Oh yeah, how did I miss Patches? He’s definitely a good bounce back candidate! Carter is a pretty decent option too

Okposo slipped so far off my radar I didn't even think of him. He's a prime candidate as a 'surprise' bounceback like Parise. Good player who's a little older and has nagging medical issues that will scare most away at least until later in the draft.

Stastny's been the top centre in Vegas since Stone showed up. That line is deadly. Could be a top 5 trio next year.
