Most of the "missed" calls happen by design. That's why we see it from pretty much every crew.

I agree with SeaDawg in that a winner doesn't give up 4 goals on a 5 minute powerplay, no matter what the circumstances are. That being said, I think that a display of accountability goes a long way, especially in an area where there generally is not a whole lot of transparency and accountability because officials in all sports are all sheltered by their respective leagues.

The penalty and what happened afterwards are two separate issues, both worth discussing. One does not negate the other.

I agree with this, but find the whining by Vegas a bit much...the team should take accountability for letting in 4 goals on a single PP and not blame the loss entirely on the bad call. Bad calls happen all the time...letting in 4 goals on a single power play does not. If Vegas was only winning by a single goal and San Jose scored two power play goals to win the game, then I'd feel a little bad for Vegas. As it stands right now, I don't feel an ounce of sympathy for them because they let in 4 freakin' goals. That's just embarrassing and they didn't deserve to win.

    Defense: J. Morrissey, A. DeAngelo, S. Gostisbehere, D. Doughty

Yup, I agree. All of this discussion in a smoke screen for the other issues:

    1) Vegas blew a 3-1 series lead - The media is usually all over teams when they blow a 3-0 or 3-1 lead in a series.

    2) Fleury let in a short-handed softy in in 2OT in Game 6, then he let in 4 goals on the powerplay. Most times when this happens to a goalie, their is lots of blame put on the goalie.... Fleury has has been there before.

Vlasic is waiting for his apology from the NHL now as well. The NHL at some point is going to wish that they never apologized to the Knights.

Was that icing on the Barrie goal?

Vlasic: “It was the right call.”

Q: It was the right call?

“Absolutely. I’ll take the high road and wait for the league’s apology tomorrow.”
