1- Bishop went down easy, but damn that prolly hurt like hell. Goalies have like 0 padding on their backs
2- No call because of the diving stigma that Lindell gave the Stars
3- Benn speared Binnington, that was dirty in my eyes. If people are complaining about Marchand, they need to be just as vocal on Benn's spear on Binnington.
4- What Binnington did to Bishop at the end of the 2nd was just as dirty I think. But the camera angle doesn't really show it well enough.

That was quite the shot Bishop took to the collarbone today. Makes you wonder about the discretion involved in whistling the play dead immediately vs waiting for a change in possession. Do you want a goalie who just dropped like a rock taking additional shots and not able to protect himself? That's a weird one. I get why the rule is what it is, but this one makes me wonder where the line should be.

If the refs are not going to blow a play dead when a goalie breaks his skate blade, then it would make sense that they don't blow it down when a goalie gets hurt.

The rule has to stay the way it is or players would "get hurt" whenever the opposing team has sustained pressure. The refs made the right call on the play.

Judgement call for sure. I think the ref made the right call. I mean, he did stay in the game so "hurt" takes on varied meanings. While I don't doubt he was hurt on the play, he was looking for a stoppage from the refs and they didn't give it to him. As a goalie myself, I can tell you it hurts like hell getting hit up high with the puck but until you hear a whistle, you play on.

True. Didnt get to watch the 1st but beyond that they were out chanced 10 plays to 1. Didn't help that Dickenson seemed more involved in the plays, mostly dump ins, than any of the Stars big guns.

29-3 the shots over the 2nd, 3rd period combined. My God Bishop is a game 7 machine. Even in the loss.

My faint playoff pool hopes are alive

Also a cool story for Maroon to get the winner after turning down better contracts to play for his hometown team on a one-year deal. He probably hurt himself financially but made up for it in memories.

When they announced the goal - it was

That was one of the best OT sessions I have ever seen. G31-4 SOG in the 2nd and 3rd just made it feel like Dallas was going to get a lucky one but I'm glad STL came out on top.

Ditto. I really thought, but would have been disappointed, if Dallas won. St Louis was so dominant but Bishop was better. St Louis has been one of my favorites to win this year. A lot of credit has to go to Berube. He is getting the best from his players and is a legitimate Jack Adams nominee, even without the playoffs.
