Given that Mrazek has been the number one goalie for CAR in the playoffs(and gotten to the second round, albeit not in stellar fashion by stats), do you see them resigning him and him being the number one goalie next year in 2019-20? What kind of money/contract do you see him getting?

Yes. No.1 G with Nedeljkovic backing him up. I see him getting a 3 year deal worth $4M AAV. A great deal given his situation at the beginning of the year, and not so much that he will drag them down if he busts.

I agree that he's likely to sign back with carolina, but I think he comes in short of $4M, as he's at best the #3 goalie on the market heading into FA behind Bobrovsky & Lehner.

I think who the backup goalie is going to be depends on whether McElhinney wants to play next year and how much he would cost.

I always scratch my head a bit while watching him because he looks 5'10/5'11 but he's listed as 6'1 . Does he look bigger than Halak to anyone (5'11) ?

    4-5m range sounds about right.

He does seem to play small
