I want to make a few things clear...first, I am definitely not an inside source. I am at best a third-hand source. Second, I have not heard anything about an offer sheet. And I have not heard anything about Tavares and Marner not getting along either, for that matter. All I've been told is that there is a rift between Marner and Babcock and that Marner's camp expects to be paid close to what Matthews received. The OP of this thread seems a lot more confident in his statements. What I have heard did not come directly from Marner nor his agent and imo they are the only two people who really know what Marner's true plans are.

I just wanted to say that perhaps some of what the OP is saying has some validity to it.

I can definitely see Marner being gone from Toronto, although I would wager it happens in a blockbuster trade this summer rather than an offer sheet.

It's also very plausible to see guys like Johnsson and Kapanen moved out and gambling on the next ELC group being as productive.

Bracco's a floater..

Engvall & Marchment have bottom 6 ceilings. Korshkov is a wildcard.

Massively underwhelming vs. Kapanen/Johnsson. Moore's a better replacement IMO. Similar style player.

moving any of them only makes sense if a top 4 D is inbound
