Hellebuyck is two tiers above Binnington in my books. I would sell Binnington to the highest bidder. If you dont get much for him, you dont get much for him.... and that would be because he is a risky fantasy player. He might not be a flash in the pan, but then again he might be. Hellebuyck is a good fantasy player on a good team. I dont see a need to do anything risky like trading him so you can keep Binnington.

The worst case scenario is you end up having Hellebuyck and Vasilevskiy as your goalies next year and you drop Binnington for nothing. That is a worst case I can live with.

I don't want to discourage you or something but I thought that you could be more patient and get more after the second round or after the cup finals... Theres always a risk - the Blues could've been eliminated in the first round and now you could've only dreamed about getting Terry for Binnington So...

Seriously though.... not saying its not possible. He might turn out to be one of the greats. Just saying there's no need to gamble here. There is a reason no one in his league is willing to pay what the OP wants. Personally, I think the trade market is pretty in line with reality. A bird in the hand as they say. I've made many worse calls than that one in these forums tho...

Should never consider a goalie 100% sure thing after one great season...not even a full season. Im not saying Bin is a bust , not at all. But i do think there is a chance he regresses a lot. Helly is already established and i agree with Axe that he will bounce back. As others said, if you can get good return for Helly do it, if not keep him not Bin.

In addition to Roy, there's also Bobrovsky. However those guys were out-of-nowhere in their early 20's.

Tim Thomas did ok after his hot run too. I think we could be looking at a Tim Thomas kind of guy here. Scrappy.

I'd sell high on Binnington and keep Hellebuyck.
