Goalies are so fickle. Howard had the best season this year but would he have been the top answer last year? He's a UFA so who knows where he ends up next year. That makes his situation volatile and I don't like that.
But yeah, compared to the other three options, he definitely has the recent edge.
In this situation where you're probably looking for upside more than dependability, I'd go with Allen. If you're looking for a little less risk, I agree with the others and say Howard.

But Elliott is an upcoming UFA. He can't really be placed until we see where he lands.
