JP Barry, CAA Sports, and Gusev’s Russian representatives are working on his release from SKA. Technically, under contract until the end of April.

To pick Garrison, Vegas got Gusev, 2nd round pick in 2017, and a 4th round pick in 2018. What a trade.

I see it as the Shipachyov situation didn't scare away Gusev who finished 2018-19 season with 82pts in 62games for CKA.
Gusev is good, moving to a new country is still a speed bump for him though.

I am just wondering if it could be Panarin 2.0 but your right it could be Shipachvov but maybe Dadanov? Who knows we will see.

JP Barry of CAA Sports has confirmed that they have received Nikita Gusev’s contract release from the Deputy Chairman and Vice President of SKA HC Roman Rotenberg. Gusev is now eligible to sign a 1 yr deal with Vegas Golden Knights for the 18-19 playoffs.
Now I'd just like to see Gusev use his 1 ELC contract these playoffs, go back to the KHL next year, and then come back to the NHL a UFA for the 2020-2021 season.
