Default What To Do With Underachievers

    Hi all,

so, this year, I had a bunch of wingers who fell way short of expectations and were downright bad, like below replacement value.

    Jaden Schwartz
    Nikolaj Ehlers
    Clayton Keller
    Max Pacioretty

What do you do with this bunch, who are supposed to be core players but actually sucked. Are they any better next year? Should I just blow the whole thing up?

    Yearly best ball league player.

Keller and Ehlers are the two I wouldnt move. Max has now had two down years in a row so I wouldn't consider him a core player.

Schwartz I have no feeling on. I thought he was going to have a huge year

I do agree with HR that Keller and Ehlers still gave the upside that makes me be patient with. I'd have no issues moving Pacioretty or Schwartz if you can. Schwartz is still an excellent player (almost a ppg player a year ago) but injuries are still a concern for me.

I feel like the only one around here that really doesn't like Ehlers. Just a feeling, but ever since his first year, he has seemed to just disappoint everyone. I'm moving him and the name/team value. Patches I think rebounds on a full year in Vegas. Keller I am definitely holding. Schwartz I have no problem trading for the best offer you get.

Best way to find out is to seek out trade scenarios that make sense for you, involving any combination of the four. Pac and Schwartz are the more obvious non-core players but rebuilders are more likely to overpay for Ehlers/Keller. Look around your league and make the deal work for you.

You can test the trade market but they all had down years so you’d be selling low. Considering it is a dynasty, dropping them isn’t an option either. I’d hold and hope for a turn around next season. Not much more you can do unless you get fair trade value of course.

Might want to wait juuuuust a bit to move either. With playoffs starting, they can only enhance trade values.
