Goalie starts to win the championship and a nice bit of cash! - Rep!

In the final stretch of the 2 week league final for my 14 team keeper league. I'm currently up 8-3 and Leading goalie standings by a good bit. I have Bob, Price and Markstrom. He has Vasi, Smith and Rittich. Goalie results are as follows:
Me: 6W, 2L, .934 and 2SO
Him: 4W, 4L, .869 0SO

2Ws locks up all Goalie cats for me. 2L for him also locks it up. I've got 4 possible starts left from my main 2, he has 3. Which games should I sit my tendys, which ones should I start?

Price vs Washington
Price vs Toronto
Bob vs NYR
Bob vs Ottawa

He has

Vasi vs Boston
Vasi vs Toronto
Smith/Rittich vs Edmonton

Who do I start/when do I start them or do I just sit pat and watch him L. If Vasi gets rested, I also will win.

Other stats for the week are fairly close aside from Assists and +/- where I hold massive leads in each.

Sit all your goalies. He's not catching you in Ls, sv%, or SOs. He could tie you in wins (Vas won't start both). No point risking it at this point, especially when you're ahead like that.

Mtl & Cbs are both desperate teams. I roll them both tonight. I think there's two wins available & then Bob on Sat. Mtl-Tor games have a tendency to blow up.

I am able to just bench them all. I figured Vasi won't start both and Calgary has been resting their entire team so I'm betting they will fall to Edmonton on Saturday. My concern was Vasi starting both where it's against Boston and Toronto as tuneup games for the playoffs.

I would.... maybe his teammate.. Luke Schenn. Sound like you can afford a -2 from him... but if he gives you 5 hits... could be worth it.

Very true. I'm up +21 to +6 this week and 71-62 in hits. Pims i'm down by 1 right now, 21-20 and could probably scrounge up a few there. I do also have Letang and Malkin still out injured. If they come back they'll be good for some hits and pims.

Be8-3, your biggest thing is not losing categories. If you keep everything you have you win. Simple as that. PIMs are a bonus, but focus first on the more predictable stats that you can make sure you can keep.

Kulikov in Wpg is pretty solid option for a minor penalty or two... just nothing else. I'd rather find a banger sitting on .8 PIM/gm - a chance you'll get 2-5 PIM on top of some hits & blks if you go Dman

The other issue I've encountered is that I currently have Chabot rostered and sitting in my IR slot. I grabbed him and stashed him incase someone went out for the year. As a result, I can't make a movie unless I drop a player from my current roster as is. I grabbed Chabot as a potential option for a keeper, and to block others from getting him for future years.

Drop Markstrom to take Chabot off. Drop guys like Krejci/Shaw/Teuvo who you can't fit into your lineup the rest of the season to stream guys who have the Friday off-night game.

I echo EB's advice, which is GREAT!
Sit.those.goalies.

My add-on advice is this:
If you consider picking up any players - add West Coast players on the following teams:

EDM/CGY/WPG/ARI/VGK/LA/COL/SJ
The 8 teams play the 4 late-games, 10pm Eastern / 7pm West.

So... say you can add two skaters (dropping goalies).

If you have some big West Coast SOG-guy already on RW... maybe you add some West Coast HIT-guy on RW, so you have options for who to play.
Or... load up on a team that might swing you +/-... if you need it.
Or... load up on a linemate of one of his good West Coast players... to guard +/-... if you are up by 1 or 2 in +/- when the 10pm Eastern games play.

Keep in mind that there are 30/31 NHL teams playing Saturday.
You WANT some flexibility in moving the right stat player into a slot just before 10pm.
So... try NOT to have all of your LWs playing in 7pm games. Maybe you leave 1 LW slot to choose between a West Coast HIT guy, a West Coast +/- guy, or a West Coast SOG guy... whatever you need.
Hopefully that makes sense.

Think about that.
I call it the 'chess move'.
You want to make last-minute sit/start decisions on category-specialists IF you need them... whatever your H2H category battles suggest you need to insert... at 9:59pm Eastern.

Great ideas. My decisions though kind of hinge on if Malkin and letang come back to play. If they do they're in the lineup. If not then tevu and shaw etc draw in. Shaws been pretty steady for pims hits and a point or two
