Four years difference.
Next year, and maybe 2-3 from now, I want Josi. However, Jones isn't far off now, and will pass him at some point in the next number of years.
Being offered this trade, its straight up Jones for Josi (I have Jones), and I already have Ekholm, too.
Josi has more offensive stats compared to Jones, but is also two years older.
Not sure about the Preds future with contracts, who will leave, etc. When Pekka Rinne finally retires will the defense be the same with Saros?
CBJ will be minus Bobs and probably the Bread Man, so how does that affect Jones?
Also, I'm in the playoffs right now.

Josi has been solid for me for years, I'm riding him into the ground. I don't move him for Jones unless I think I'm a few years from my contention window opening.
I'm in my window now, have Burns and Yandle as my old guys still producing, Josi and Barrie as my in the prime studs, Werenski as my youth, with Brannstrom and Fox hopefully in the wings to some day take the spots of Burns and Yandle. And if not I have 4/10 first round picks in 2020 for a mini rebuild in case I move on from some of my old guys.
I've been trying to Sam Pollock my league for a couple years. Planned my restocking for 2020 a couple years ago, started making moves for 2020 picks a couple years ago. One of them I managed to trade Vlasic for a 2020 1st, but pitching it like a furniture sale, buy now, don't pay for 2 years. Still can't believe it worked, and I get to blame Karlsson for Vlasic sucking so that new owner doesn't truly appreciate how bad that deal was.
