Default Krug - "Not feeling great"

    Well frig....

Krug (upper body) won't play Thursday against the Jets.

Coach Bruce Cassidy revealed Wednesday that Krug is "not feeling great today," while adding that the Bruins' power-play QB is day-to-day beyond Thursday's contest. The 27-year-old has been a prime fantasy asset this season, with 48 points in 59 games to date, but he is coming off a forgettable minus-5 effort in Tuesday's 7-4 loss to the Blue Jackets. With Krug sidelined, Connor Clifton has been recalled from AHL Providence.

Hoping the flu but how often do teams write a player off the day before a game when they have the flu? Usually they'd wait until game day.

The flu, or something more serious, would help explain the minus-5 last night. No other Boston player was worse than minus-2.

Whatever it is, news would be welcome quickly. With Karlsson also on the shelf until who knows when, this has the potential to completely derail a great fantasy season.

I can't speak for others but I wasn't being serious. It's pretty evident to me it's some kind of concussion precaution thing despite the vague wording.

Definitely looking like a concussion. Nobody talks in vague terms about having the flu. They'll just come out and authoritatively state, "yeah, I've got a touch of the flu".

My deadline acquisitions were Letang, Krug and Kreider. Not sure why Kreider was ejected last night but right now a suspension wouldn't surprise me.

Sorry...ya I saw it. Was it actually though? Pretty weak ejection. He was turning around and his arm flew up as Pettersson was hunched over. I think it had more to do with it being Pettersson.

And it being Kreider. Tough to give a guy like him the benefit of the doubt.
