Can anyone make sense of my keepers?

I’m in 1st and hope to win our two-round playoff.

Who should be my 8 keepers? I will trade everybody else after the season ends so keep in mind name-value if you want.

Note: If Svechnikov doesn’t miss a game and plays all 82, I’d basically be forced to graduate him and I’d have to make a decision on him too.

Hope svech misses a game because he just doesn't fit in your top 8 right now. Target him as a re draft if you can't keep him in your minors. You should be able to get him next year with your picks fairly easily.

You are getting a little long in the beard so the time to win your league is now and next season. If things are going well in the first quarter of next season it's time to push the chips all in (also considering you finish your 16 round draft in basically round 3 you should have a really strong team). All this considered my next three would probably be:

Zibby (with him and barkov you've got a great faceoff base plus he provides everything)
Benn (down year but he's like an Ovechkin light and you're in win now, expect a bounce back)
Josi (you know exactly what you're getting)

No matter which way you go you have some great trade candidates.

I like MZac's list of locks, and at that point you could try just trading everyone else for picks and upgrades, then just keep the last three players. A lot of them are similarly valuable.

My one argument would be in not making Gaudreau and Wheeler locks. Wheeler alone is killing it this year, and should do so again next as little will change in the Peg next year for that top line. Same for Johnny Hockey. Just my two cents tho.

Haha, I didn't actually scan over your team, just assumed MZac covered them all.

Wheeler is definitely a keeper. AndI would keep him over Zibby. FOWs you can find anywhere, but he's a tier below Benn/Wheeler and the rest.

I had to take a second look myself to see if Wheeler was there or not. Eskimo Brother had me thinking I was losing it. Hahaha.
