Default New Keeper Options Post League Trade Deadline

Claimed the 6th and final playoff spot although being the 2nd highest scoring team in the league. So I feel I could have a good core heading into next season. The question is, which core do I take?

    14 Team h2h Keep 7+2NA
    G (2) A (1) PPP (1) SOG (0.25) PIM,HIT,BLK (0.2)
    W (3) GA (-1) SV (0.1) SHO (2)

    Position options:

    A) 2C 2LW 2RW 1G 2NA B) 3F 2D 2G 2NA C) 1C 1LW 1RW 3D 1G 2NA D) 5F 2D 2NA

My NA Keepers are Adam Boqvist & Eeli Tolvanen

    A) Eichel - Pettersson - Meier - Landeskog - P. Kane - Rantanen - Vasilevskiy

    B) Eichel - P. Kane - Rantanen - Hedman - Edler - Vasilevskiy - Hart

    C) Eichel - Landeskog - P. Kane - Hedman - Edler - Ekholm - Vasilevskiy

    D) Eichel - Pettersson - Landeskog - P. Kane - Rantanen - Hedman - Edler

I'm leaning towards A) and B). We are having an expansion draft (12 to 14 teams) this offseason so players I don't keep I'll probably lose, like Hedman & Hart.

Trocheck and Gibson are also options to sub for Pettersson/Hart Tro is probably a better option than Pett with these CATS?
Also, traded away my 2nd, 4th and 5th rounders so I'll definitely need a solid core to start the draft.

How does Vas's point total rank up with the skaters? And is there a big separation between a top tier starter like him, and just a volume starter - say Dubnyk/Jones.

Eichel-Pettersson-Landy-Rantanen-Kane-Vas-Hart is how I would go.

Guys, he doesn't have that option, it's restricted positionally by the four outlines laid out above. Otherwise I agree with Doug Glatt, those would be the easy picks.

Thus my earlier question trying to gauge the true value of goalies in this league.

Thanks for the reply and clearing up my restricted keeper options.

To answer your question. Vas would lineup around the #10th ranked Skater and he would be several slots ahead of a Dubnyk/Jones tier in rankings but would outproduce them by at least 60 fantasy points

I go option A then. Hedman sounds like he's probably a lot more replaceable than Vas, and by not having to keep Edler there's not really a weak spot in your keepers either.

A is my choice as well. You'll probably have the best forwards and goalie in the league to start next season.

Edler and Hart are too much of a risk/drop off from your forward talent.

Same goes for C, the d men aren't anywhere near as good as the forwards you have to let go.

D is our because Vas is a top 10 player in your league and edler isn't.

    Forwards:
    C. McDavid, N. Kucherov, R. O'Reilly, J. Schwartz, J. Toews, J. Huberdeau, T. Toffoli, M. Granlund

    Defense:
    B. Burns, J. Klingberg, R. Josi, J. Slavin

Thanks for the help it is much appreciated!

What would be your thoughts on replacing Elias Pettersson and keeping Trocheck instead with this scoring system? He hits and shoots more, although goal scoring is down from last season. Stick with the young stud eh?

I think so. Trochek is a stud and I expect him to bounce back next season but I think EPs scoring upside is probably too high to pass on.

I agree with the upside of Pettersson, and I think they hype train on him to start next season could land you a lot more in a trade than if you were to keep Trochek. Could even land you a solid + on top of Tro.

Hits can be replaced easily with low draft picks, points cannot. Stick with EP
