I have Rittich/Smith as well as Freddy and am in H2H playoffs (two week matchups) right now.
Starting Rittich tonight
Anyone still holding him starting him?
I usually look for goalie starts early in the week because it gives you the most time to correct if needed, but Rittich is sporting a 9-0-4 record at home with a 3.33GAA and .882 sv%.
Toronto has been putting some points up lately as well, 5 or 6 goals for in 4 of their last 5 games.

If you have come this far and still own him then why not start him? It's the Monday of some playoff matchups so at least you have all week to catch up if he sucks
I dont have any feeling about how tonight will go but I've got both guys and I'm starting them against each other. I'd just roll him out there; he's on a good team and this matchup should be relatively close. Calgary might have the edge in fact because of Toronto's injuries piling up.

Yeah, tonight is the first night of my quarterfinals. Considering the Flames have a B2B later in the week and Rittich is starting tonight, I'd assume he's also going to get Thursday @ARI. So if he craps the bed tonight at least he'll have another opportunity for a quality start.
Let's hope for the best!

Ugh. Sorry.
Lol. At this point I'm just hoping he finishes the game.
Silver lining is I have Hyman. Hopefully Bishop and Gibson can help right the ship for me.

That was an AWFUL goal on Rittich

Rags to riches to rags. He is brutal at goaltending. Rivals Smith in boneheaded goals allowed.
I didn't get to see any of the game or highlights yet, but Toronto has been pouring the goals on lately. That's now 5 of 6 games with 5+ goals for them.
And for whatever reason Rittich is not very good at home. Wish Smith got the start last night and we all could've avoided this catastrophe.
Hopefully Rittich can bounce back at Arizona on Thursday and make it up to us.

I'm just happy to see Tor begin to buck the trend of slow starts, giving up the 1st goal. A struggling goalie vs. a top 5 offensive team? hmm... it was a recipe for disaster from the beginning
