    #TradeCentre ALERT:
The New York Rangers are trading Kevin Hayes to the Winnipeg Jets for Brendan Lemieux, a 2019 1st-round pick, and a conditional pick (as per @TSNBobMcKenzie, @DarrenDreger).

If you've been watching the Jets play lately, they probably aren't getting out of the first round. Lemieux has actually been a bright spot this year (4th liner obviously but he's one player who's really made a place for himself in the league this year).

Yeah looks like they lost out on Stone and know it, scrambling?

Agreed. I think that is an overpayment for someone that is not much of a difference-maker.

I'd say that's a pretty fair price for a 2nd line C with playoff experience at the deadline. Late 1st and a 4th line player who is easily replaceable.

Hayes is also a pretty good defensive player.

I was wondering when he was going to pop-up on the boards. It took a trade!
Heck of a year. Breakout at #5.
