Binnington vs Allen - What's the split going forward?
My trade deadline is tomorrow... we start playoffs week earlier than most, wondering if its worth going after this tandem over who I've got?

It’s anyone’s best guess, no one really knows. But a 70/30 seems reasonable. I’m currently carrying the duo (reluctantly at first) but it is surprisingly paying off. I’d much rather have the STL hand-cuff vs. Your bottom pair in Quick/McElhinney. But of course it’ll depend on the cost. The owner may want an overpayment since they are red hot.

I would have said 80/20 for Binnington but lately, both goalies have proven to be worthy so you might see Allen to get starts as well. I currently own the handcuff in my main league as well and it's been rewarding me with weekly wins for a few now.

Would love to have the pair. I believe that Allen could be had cheap. However, I believe that you will greatly over pay for Binnington. Unless the current owner is out of the playoffs and you can convince them that Binnington is not the future starter for the Blues. I am a Huge Blues fan and feel that Binnington's success is temporary. Man I hope that I am wrong though. I would test the waters, but wouldn't get to crazy with the trades. I think that Binnington will cool off and Allen will re-assert himself.

do you have to drop anybody to fit them in? teh cost for teh two seems reasonable to me...but only if you dont need to drop anybody..maybe McElhinny, but thats it.

hmm, i dont like it as much then.
i mean if you can get Binn then yes, possibly Hammy is a drop too to make room for teh combo, i wouldn't drop Quick just yet though

At a minimum, Binnington will get about half the starts because if he doesn't, he automatically becomes an unrestricted free agent. And the Blues won't want to lose him for nothing at this stage.

I doubt Allen sees much more than 2nd half of B2B's that leaves him with 2-5 starts ROS.

Binnington for a 4th sounds good. If you have to pay a pick and drop Quick to "upgrade" that slot to Jake Allen, that's horrid. I'd think you should be able to get a pick back with Allen for Quick.

This situation is looking a lot like the Smith/Rittich situation, tread carefully. Rittich was on pace to set Flames goalie records, now he hasn’t seen the crease in 4 games and counting...

Deals done in prinicpal I can get binnington for a fourth ... 11th coming back. Question is who to drop?
