N. Kucherov approaching 100

How come no one else has even 80 points in Tampa if his supporting cast is that good? Wouldn't someone have at least 90 pts if his supporting cast was so good? He has 22 points more than Point. 22! He is the MVP.

Who's second in Chicago? Toews with 61!? Kucherov has the benefit of playing on the deepest team in the league. He also has 38 PPP's. Not to mention, 2 other players Stamkos & Point with over 70pts each. Hedman on D... TB is stacked.

It's a relatively weak argument to point to Point at 78pts in 61gp as a slacking secondary scoring option.

No doubt Kucherov is a beast - no counter argument there.
Buy remove Kuch from TB and they're likely still 1st in the East
Remove Kane from Chi? they're a lottery team

I think if you look at past winners, except for McDavid, most winners are on very good teams. Chicago isn't even in a playoff position. Tampa is the best team in the league and Kucherov has a lot to do with it.

Tampa has only been a serious contender the last 2 years, which Kucherov has reached 100 points.

what about the previous cup final & conference finals ?? They tanked when they lost Stamkos two years ago. He was their only serious injury.

Kane is averaging over 2 points per game since November. Hawks have literally clawed all the way back from 31st place to a wild card bubble team. If you look at the gap in points between Kane and Kucherov even six weeks ago. It was a lot more than 6pts.

Where will you sit if after game 82 Kane has 135pts and Kucherov 131?

either way... this is easily the most exciting scoring race of the past 25 years. No longer is it a turtle race to 90.

I felt Kane was severely underrated in fantasy predictions this year across multiple sources and stated that in these forums. With the cat in Chicago, Kane could have a few more years like this and make last year a bad memory
