This guy hasn't panned out so far. Only 20 years old, but his stock is trending down badly in my opinion. Lots of signs he is not progressing. Plus, he is stuck way down the depth chart in the Tampa organization. What are people's opinion on his chance to rebound? Not much on the prospects waiver wire, but, willing to take a shot at someone with possibly a better shot if this guy is a likely bust.

I wouldn't call him a bust as he's still just playing junior, but he's definitely not anything more than a depth piece. In a 20 team league he's probably worth holding onto to see if he plays in the AHL next year. He had 3 points in 10 games there at the end of last year. Svechnikov padded his stats for sure while he was in Barrie.

ya, to say "he hasn't panned out yet" or to even start the good ole "bust" label for a kid in Jr hockey is a bit of a reach. It seems just as he gets settled into his Jr team, he gets traded away. He's already on this 3rd OHL team in two years. Seems a bit weird for a kid to get traded that much.

None the less, he's a prospect and all of them are gambles for the most part to some extent. Who knows when this kid will take the next step, if ever.

In a 20 team league with 30 minors spots, I can see picking him up and being patient but this is simply without knowing who else is even an option for you to pick up.
