I've been stuck between 5th and 8th (of 12, top 8 make playoffs) for the last 3 months and decided that my team wasn't going to make any noise in the playoffs, so may as well go for broke. Made 3 trades over 4 days. Thoughts? Any chance I've righted the ship?

Trade 1:
In: DeBrincat, Filip Forsberg
Out: Getzlaf, Rakell, D. Hamilton

I know I gave up a lot of off night starts, but DeBrincat's already paid for himself with last night's game

Trade 2:
In: Jamie Benn
Out: Byfuglien

Benn's gotta go on a tear sometime soon right? RIGHT? Buff's been a beast in our league for a few years now, but he can't seem to stay on the ice and WPG will hand over the reigns to PP1 to Morrissey/Trouba at some point (see below...hopefully)

Trade 3:
In: Trouba
Out: Meier

Sad to see Timo go, but after shipping out 2 of my 3 best D, I needed a replacement and nobody was biting on Nyquist or Keller.

So net change is:
In: DeBrincat, Forsberg, Benn, Trouba
Out: D. Hamilton, Rakell, Getzlaf, Byfuglien, Meier

Playoff noise maker? Sharp drop to 12th? Stuck in 8th place purgatory?

P.S. If someone could remind Laine how to put the damn puck in the net, that'd be much appreciated.

I really like the first two deals. Paying for Dmen can be expensive, so deal 3 isn't awful by any means. Solid deadline push. It may not get you to first, but I definitely think it should launch you forward.

However, I wonder if you can flip Forsberg with someone else (Ekholm) for a big piece. Forsberg's playoff schedule is crap, and he typically has his best month in February (right now).

hahaha, fair enough! Looking at goalies (my clear weakness I'd say), would targetting Hellebuyck make sense? The team with him also has Price and Rinne, so he may be open to moving him.
