Maybe. What he certainly isn't is a guy who's showed well in the NHL so far in any decent sample size. I'd much rather have Delia who should be the backup next year, given the new contract, and looks at least as good.
It's not that people don't like him, it's that they don't like him as much. Think of it as a choice among reasonably good options, but one stands out as the best right now.
