I agree with your first thought, Rantanen is a rising star. That top line that Colorado has is far away from anything the stars can produce. Plus it appears that Dallas as a team is on a downslide, whereas Colorado (while dissapointing of late) only has uside and potential moving into future years.
Seguin is a good player for sure. But I just cant see any logical reason that Rantanen doesn't continue his success.
