    Default Hornqvist or Rust

    G, A, PPP, SOG, Hits

Can anyone provide insight as to wtf is going on here? Last week Hornqvist was on the 4th line. Still getting PP1 time but ZERO points in his last 12 games since returning from an injury.

Wondering whether I shiuld drop him or Rust....who doesn't hit or shoot as much but is racking up the points with Sid.

It's pretty hard to justify holding on to Hornqvist at this point. I drafted him in the 5th round of my limited keeper, hoping for 45~ points and good HIT/SOG peripherals, but he's been a bust and I dropped him months ago. Not sure what your waiver wire looks like, but I'm guessing there are dozens of guys who will add more to your roster than Hornqvist is doing right now.

I know Hornqvist's value has dipped a bit this season but the fact that he usually gets a good amount of hits and the potential for offense is still there, I would take Hornqvist.

How much longer can Hornquist hang on to his pp1 role with Guentzel approaching ppg production?

In your setup HR it's close. 2 hits and 3 shots a game with nothing else is probably droppable but if he's getting that pp1 deployment for the next 12 games he's not going to go pointless again. Between the dry spell, injuries, and Guentzel nipping at that primo spot i can see him being droppable... Probably time to start lowering expectations on him and he's someone that I will be letting fall in the draft come September.

Edit: I think id hold Hornquist over rust still at this stage simply due to the power play deployment and the hits/shots. But it's definitely closer than one would like.

Thanks guys. Waiver wire is dead. It's a deeper 12 team league so I would basically just be looking at adding someone who has 4 games and can fit in my lineup every week.

I actually looked into why Horny was doing so bad last night. I concluded he's having bad luck on the PP. Not sure if the PP changed that he suddenly isn't getting PPP or if he is just gripping his stick too hard. I would still prefer Horny over Rust.

2 assists in last 2 games for Hornqvist. I'm happy.

He was still on pp1 as well early tonight, so was Guentzel. Looks like Kessel on the 2nd unit which probably won't last.

I had to trade Horny away today for D fortifications. Received J. Faulk in return, which I dont hate. But Hornqvist was an absolute animal in the 4th qtr of the season last year so not thrilled about moving him. Maybe he is heating up.
