So what to do. Think ive had just abkut enough. Pure goal scorer not scoring. Minus machine.
Time to shop him is never good when selling low but I won't ask for nothing less than like he is a 40 goal scorer.

Even if Laine is back on, AHo is a fair return for me? You'd think he wouldn't do it....
I'm thinking no one trades something good for him now. MARNER?

Thinking of throwing a Laine Aho offer out there.

    Goal heavy league.
Contract Fantrax 14 teams, 8 keepers. 4 max lifers +/-
    3C, 3LW, 3RW, 1F. 5D,2G....5Reserves.
    Goal heavy. G=3.5 A=2 Add 0.5pts for D.
    Goalies:W=3,SO=4,start=2,Save=.1
    Assist +4, OF loss +1 loss= -1 Goal against -1

I would be asking for a bit of a plus on top of Aho, but it's not a terrible option.

So what is your opinion of the robber rankings then and why Aho is ranked well ahead?

Laine has a contract 2 which means I will have next season to decide if he replaces Crosby or Karlsson in my max d out keepers.
Aho is a 1 so I'd have 2 more years with him.

I also made a Patterson offer for Laine. He's contract 0 and just seems like a better player period. Totally getting rejected.

Dobber's rankings are points only, while you say you have a goal-heavy league. There's your difference right there.
I also think that the name value on Laine can get your more value than the name value on Aho.

I just traded him for Seguin. I don't know if it is a good move or a bad one, but at least I am sleeping at night.

Damn, massive win for you. I wouldn't get Marner's shinpads for him in my league if I shopped him right now lol

I owned him... It was painful...may still be painful for a while. I think he's one of those guys that goes through awful and then scorching stretches (he did the same last year)

I see a 40g, 25 a guy tops with lots of shots and not much more

I own Laine in both my keeper leagues and I'm not even going to bother shopping him. Chalk this one down as a lost season. I'm still confident he comes back into camp next autumn and starts producing again. Selling low won't do you any good and it could come with big regrets in a keeper league.

As for the names mentioned above....

I wouldn't trade him for Aho.
I would trade him for Marner but I wouldn't expect the opposing GM to accept.
Trading for Seguin is something I would consider but I'm not sure the opposing GM will go for it at this point.
Offering Domi is just insulting, I know this from experience.

Thinking about trading Stamkos + 2nd pick for Laine. League is a 10+1 keeper with 22 teams that count mostly points and plus/minus.
I'm going all-in this year so it doesn't fit my plan short-term. But trading an aging C (29) for an elite 20yo winger that potentially cost less for the next few years (lets say 7M$ 2-3y bridge) would really help me mid ans long-term.

Without more info I wouldn't make that deal... Catss, roster, positions etc would help get a better understanding but wth the info you gave I think you're losing this deal by a fair margin.

Last year saw Stastny be added - big difference between him and Little, as we're seeing

Yea I wasn’t so sure at the time but I feel better and better about it. If laine turns out to be a 50 goal guy year in and year out marner would need 100 point seasons to make it close and again I don’t know if he has it in him.
