    Default Multi-Cat D

League scoring in sig, multicat points.

My D corps is relatively aged. I am looking at some prospects and there are a few young D I find interesting; I would like to get your opinions.
K'Andre Miller, Philippe Myers, Erik Cernak and Alexander Alexeyev. Who is the best upside play here? Looking for long-term outlook, can afford to wait if the return is worth it.

Cernak is by far the most sure thing. He's already here and shown he can stick. He's a hit monster and gives you decent blocks and PIM. Also, his offensive game has room for growth and he could end up a 30-35 point player. He is a clear winner for me.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

VV is spot on in my opinion. Cernak's dirt-cheap contract next year pretty much guarantees him a spot on one of the leagues best teams. I wouldn't be shocked to see him lead the league, or be near the top, in hits next season regardless if he can carve out his spot in Tampa's Top-4.

Yeah. I agree with this assessment of Cernak.

I'm ranking them the way you listed them.

Miller have the best all around upside and the clearer path to have a lot of TOI, still pretty far away from being fantasy relevant.
I like Myers, he should be a great multicat D, but have an heavy competition in Provorov, Gost, Sanheim, Morin and Hagg.
Cernak offensive upside is limited and will probably get bumped by Foote, but he's already there and have good peripherals.
Alexeyev will be a multicat beast, but who knows how good the caps are going to be when he'll be ready.

But you have Dahlin and Heiskanen in your farm. Your defense will be much younger next year.

I'll tackle this from a slightly different angle - no doubt Cernak will give solid periphs

    but

Miller/Alexeyev are the two most likely to provide 40+pts and solid hits/blocks/pim. If you want all around cat production vs. limited cat stuffers. Those two would my targets.

Interesting input here, thanks. I have been watching Cernak all year. He is going to be big in my format at some point. Several years ago Gudas was a monster on TB and I think the sequel is in production here with the Slovakian.

Got to see Alexeyev in the WJC and he passes the eye test. Like that he is already in NA.
Miller is a ways away, thats the only big drawback there. Myers has injury issues and will never be near top dog in PHI but theres a lot of talent and a trade could change his outlook.

    Decisions, decisions...

Yes sir. Just added the young chap myself. Good times ahead. When Coburn etc. are out of the way next year, oh boy!

Question: Who are the 3 most desirable D to own in a multi-cat dynasty format?

They're both further away, but when it comes to multi cat D prospects, I'm also having a close watch on Connor Hobbs (WSH) and Logan Stanley (WNP).
