In my football league if you come last, you pick where you draft for the next yr.
It's actually pretty interesting spin on things.

One of my baseball leagues does that kind of setup. Kentucky Derby style is what they call it. It's a 20 team league, and first place from the season before gets first pick of which draft slot they want, second place gets second crack at it, and so on. We send our selections into the commish, and he seeds everyone out based on what he receives. It's based on a deadline, send your order in by X date, or you're auto assigned a preference of one through 20. Being a snake draft there can be some strategy to it. I came first last year, and I could see my ideal slot in a 20 team league being somewhere around 10.
In our league, being 12, I think my ideal slot would be somewhere in the 3-6 range.

Amen! This is an awesome idea!
Now if only this draft was after the NFL or NHL draft... than we could use the draft to determine the draft order for the draft within the draft!
Each manager is represented by a player in the 8-20 range of Central scouting and the way those players are drafted is the way the managers get to pick there draft position .
Is it the 25th yet? Next Monday is going to be the most unproductive day for a lot of us. NHL trade deadline AND the 2019 Dobber Baseball draft kicks off. I’m licking my chops.
And I'm going to the Leafs game that day.

One week gentlemen.
I think we do this often, but shouldn't we end in round 24 or 26?
Right now we're in round 25, ending on pick 300. The final round has the team who has pick #1 finishing with the first round pick in round 25. We've made comments mid draft on this, but it's literally picks 289-300, so I don't know if people care.

I personally don't care about that. I actually would rather be picking later, as the longer waits for rounds 2 and 4 I find hurt more than the earlier picks in rounds 1 and 3 help. And yeah, crapshoot by that point anyways. If even half of the league still owns their last round pick by my April I would call that a win.

Doesn’t matter to me but I wouldn’t be opposed to cutting a bench spot to make it work. These rosters are huge, too big in my opinion.
