Should be some consideration by ensuring this team never had talent coming in or out. It was Rask, Boyes & ensure nothing good wears the blue&white again. Swear he was Ballard's illegitimate child

When you look up "Worst contracts in NHL History", you will find two belong to the Islanders. Milbury's contract for Yashin and Snow's to Dipietro. Granted, these were both before the salary cap era. Thank god Oilers fans were saved by that from Chiarelli.

Chiarelli is a terrible GM but beware recency bias, Milbury was much worse.

Chia trades Hall, Eberle, and the Barzal pick for scrubs and players he overrated, signed Lucic and Russell to some of his worse contracts, paid too much for Drais etc.

Milbury traded Luongo, Jokinen, Chara, McCabe, Burtuzzi, Berard, and the Spezza pick for scrubs and players he overrated, signed Yashin to one of the worst contracts in NHL history AND he made Tommy Salo cry in an arbitration hearing etc.

PS TML fans, yes, JFJ was bad but not Milbury bad and no one feels sorry for you right now, just enjoy that your team actually does have a very promising future at the moment

To be fair, he drafted DiBandaid and traded Luo because of it but the blame for that bought out contract that'll be paid for the next 10 years (!!!!) is all on Snow.
