Solid show and I feel like they went with a lot of "crowd pleasers" for the finishes.
Yes, the NXT Takeover events are by far the best WWE produced events. There are now 5 a year and they constantly outperform the regular WWE PPVs that follow them. Last night's Takeover was no exception.
I'd assume Seth Rollins is winning the Rumble, and if booked right, him vs Lesnar at WrestleMania could be a nice storyline. Not Rollins the underdog, but Rollins the babyface with all the heart. They can afford to have a bit less of a high profile of a Universal Title match at Mania since the women are gonna be the main focus (Rousey vs Lynch and possibly a triple thread with Charlotte as well in the main event looks penciled in).
GET WELL SOON, DOBBER.

It was an OK show, not great by any means. Saturday's show was much better.

I agree. The Royal Rumble was “ok” but very predictable. I liked Nia Jax entering the men’s after busting up Truth. Becky winning was interesting and it won me my “Rumble Pool”. She was my third pick to win and my buddy laughed at me, saying that because she was in the championship match, she wouldn’t enter the Rumble.
The Takeover event was great, but not as good as they have been in the past. It was still far better than the Main Event.

So as usual I hope back on the WWE train around this time of year....but after reading the results from RAW...do they even know Royal Rumble is this weekend?? It seems like there is minimal hype.
I won't be getting the package after all.
Rylant....tell me if I am wrong.
I was raised in a family of pro wrestling fans and I've been a follower for most of my life. The last several years I've been losing interest. I am now firmly off the WWE train. I might get a stream for the main events depending on what is going on that day.
If I do watch I would be tuning in blind without knowing anything about the card.

Hello everyone. I am new here. Interesting thread, thanks for the information![]()
Streamed the big match and ended up disappointed as usual lol. Nice to see someone new win but I was surprised they had the guy that eliminated Lesnar win the match as well.
Even though a new guy won he comes out looking weaker than the champion.

I don't have any issue with Brock being strong. He's the champion and should be seen that way. Makes it more valuable when someone else rises to that level. My issue is the guy winning not even coming out looking that strong.
How it played out (based on the "stats" they kept spamming on commentary)
Brock:
-13 eliminations
-Fought off a few outnumbered situations
-Eliminated by Drew after someone else kicked him in the nuts
Drew:
-6 eliminations
-Very few dominant moments
-Spent most of the time sitting in the corner while other things happened
Instead of a strong challenger you get a guy who happened to win.

To be honest, I was more pleased with the event than I thought I would be. I definitely like the idea of Drew winning and it is about time he takes on a big role. I thought that Roman was going to win and just the thought of that made me sick. As much as I hate Lesnar, I like that he was completely dominant for as long as he was before going out. Love the return of Edge.
Most of the matches were decent. I think that the Roman / Corbin fight was the only "bad" match on the card.

The Edge return was awesome. I kind of love they just did it at #20 or whatever. And Orton attacking him last night was expected but still fun.
