Hoffman (Rep Where Possible)

Team in my signature:

The deadline is approaching and I'm a seller (first year of my rebuild) and there's interest in Hoffman. At 29 he's going to be 32/33 by time my window opens so I'm open to moving him, but with 42 points in 47 games he's not going for nothing. What should I be looking for with this guy? 1st plus a prospect? Young stud? Am I overvaluing him off his first start? Or should I just hang onto him?

Your rebuild plan is 3 to 4 years? That's way too long, in my opinion.

Without knowing the number of teams or keepers, I have no idea what a first round pick is worth...so very hard to reply.

If you are talking about 18 year old kids, I wouldn't move Hoffman for a 1st unless it was a high first.

It's a thirty-team league, full keepers with prospect pool. Everyone is protected every season. The draft is a two round, entry level draft. Three to four years is probably my max length of time for the rebuild (I'd love to do it in shorter) but I took over this year and the cupboards were empty and the team wasn't great. The important prospects I currently have are Lias Andersson, Logan Brown, Ville Meskanen, Jake Bean, Urho Vaakanienen, K'Andre Miller, Alex Alexeyev, with four firsts this year (two top ten) and two more the year after, so figured that core is a few years away from competing.

Ok if the league is that deep, I'd be asking for a lot more for Hoffman.

I think this deal isn't fair, especially with Kempe thrown in on my side, but he's willing to talk Prospects of interest are Jarrett Anderson-Dolan, Ian Scott, and Filip Larsson. He's been a contender for a while so he doesn't have much more to offer here and I already have his first this year. Is there anything to be done here?
