Is TOI a category in your league?
How on earth does Brandon Sutter get more ice time than Boeser?
Buffalo had 2 powerplays, and in the last 5 minutes of the game I don't even think I saw Boeser.
Granted Vancouver was protecting a 1 goal lead, but I've seen Boeser on with an empty net before.
I saw Horvat go out with Leivo and Granlund, and they kept using the Sutter line.
Boeser should play more than 16:53, what is Green's deal?
Boeser plays 15 minutes sometimes, and other nights it's well over 20.
I didn't think he was such a liability defensively that he gets glued to the bench in a 1 goal game.
Sutter, Eriksson, and Leivo and guys like that don't need to play so much.
Boeser can easily go out up 1 goal with 3 minutes left with Horvat like normal, it's not like it's an all offensive first line. It's Boeser, Horvat, Leivo.

Is TOI a category in your league?
I presume you're teasing but this seems like a legit hockey question, besides, more TOI provides more opportunity to put up stats. I personally haven't watched or read about many Canucks games lately so I really have no guess as to whats going on other than some old-school hockey mentality in the coaching department.

Well I was...only because I've never seen so much passion over TOI for one game so I assumed maybe he has TOI as a category.
However I just looked into it and just think it was a game script issue and don't really think it's a problem. Sutter averages almost 3 more shifts per game and I would guess a lot of those quick ones are in line matching situations. Maybe Green liked the matchup vs Eichel?
I didn't watch the game but my guess is Green likes Sutter in a defensive role, especially for taking the big draws. I would imagine if the score was the other way around, and they were trying to play catch up, Boeser would have seen more ice time near the end to score. It's all how the games play out. I wouldn't nit-pick certain games and try to figure out why some guys have varying icetime amounts. Different players have different roles. It's all game based on teams needs.
