If Wennberg's an upgrade, go for him, with Koivu as the fallback plan.
On the wire are Wennberg (clears tomorrow AM) and Koivu (clears Sunday AM).
I have a good shot at landing Wennberg with my current rank but am I better off going for Koivu and risking not getting either or try for Wennberg and then go for Koivu if I don’t win the first one?
I have Zacha as my player to drop in either claim.
What would you guys and gals do, if anything?

If you are using a waiver claim... use it for a player you want. So if you prefer Koivu I would wait and try getting Koivu.
And then when Wennberg clears waivers... hopefully you can get him as a free agent just in case you don't end up getting Koivy.
That’s the twist... if I win Wennberg, there’s no chance to get Koivu. If Wennberg clears he can only be picked up at a later draft. If he gets picked up by a lower priority manager, I don’t gain any extra waiver spots and I run the risk of not getting Koivu...
Basically, the toss up is if Koivu is that much of an upgrade over Wennberg or does Wennberg’s potential kinda even it out. Also, Zacha is the guy I’d be dropping so is it even worth making the move considering that I have to let go of Zacha here?

I like Wennberg over Koivu simply because of age. Koivu has shown he has a lot of value but Wennberg is younger and has the potential to be much better. If age isn't an issue for you, and you just like Koivu more, grab him. I like both over Zacha regardless.
