So I just saw this and had an open roster spot on my team because of a 2for1 trade that cleared this morning.
Both Minny and Carolina play four games over the next two weeks (its a two week matchup for me next week because of days off and all star break). I immediately added Neidereiter for the potential upside of line 1 and pp1. Not interested in rask on minnesota fantasy wise. Time will tell but the early win goes to the canes here imo.

Clearly Rask has lost his mojo, then hurt himself further with his terrible carving skills thus dampening his sunshine.
However he does play a position with a premium and perhaps needed this trade more than anything else for a shot to prove himself and his contract. The question is will he do that ?
Minnesota is a good place for him. They have a strong hockey "culture" and a professional if not winning pedigree in the room as well. Hopefully he embraces his opportunity and starts putting up the numbers he did.
6'2", 200 pounds. skates reasonably well and has 50 point upside.
Nino has been traded twice and still only 26 years old. 60 point upside on the wing. Not too shabby.
I like the deal for both teams as the Wild can probably backfill Nino's minutes with a guy like Kunin
Consider Sim Hockey because guys who play shutdown minutes, deflect shots and clear creases build championships. Yet in fantasy they litter the unwanted UFA lists.

Can't wait to see what my countryman can do with some increased minutes - and maybe less defensive responsibilities.
People here only seem to compare him and Rask by their offensive numbers. Nino's underlying numbers show an excellent defensive fwd. But of course I'm biased
