He sent me Hedman + 4th for Gio + 9th. Our keeper picks are the last rounds of the draft.
So I countered with that trade and he accepted it, we never even messaged each other. Maybe I should have asked for more...

Considering you are keeping 4 only... Hedman or Gio both aren't gonna be kept I assume.
If you are going for it this year, I actually think what you have is better:
Kane = Pasta
Gio > Hedman (this season - I find that TB's PP aren't really running through the D anymore.. Hedman isn't scoring as much as prior seasons)
As a keeper, Pasta is probably a bit better than Kane. But for the championship run this year, I think what you have is fine.

Gio is having a career year, so who knows if that lasts and Kane is by far the best player on a poor team. Where as Pasta is a top player and on a top team, and same with hedman. I think it doesnt hurt me for this year but makes me better in the future

I like Pastrnak as a better longterm keeper than Kane, so that's a reason to make the trade, but other than that, the Gio/Kane side is the better choice for this season.
