I like Fiala. He is doing everything right now.
But yes I would drop Smith as well.
Heya - I was hoping to get a little advice with my LW position. I recently traded Skinner for Rinne to solidify my goalies and was hoping Hall was going to be back sooner to fill his spot. I’m left with a gap at LW now that I need to fill for next week.
My league is a 1-year 12 team H2H with categories - G, A, +/-, PPP, SHP, PIM, SOG, W, SV%, GAA, SO. Start 2C, 2RW, 2LW 4D, 3Util, 2G. Weekly starts.
My team is:
C - Crosby, Seguin
LW - Connor
RW - wheeler, granlund
D - reilly, krug, klingberg, pietrangelo
Util - Atkinson, ROR, reinhart
B - Nurse, getzlaf
IR - hall, ehlers, klefblom, raanta
G - MAF , Rittich, Rinne, Smith
Notable LW agents available include:
Schwartz (off waivers tomorrow AM), Fiala, Sissons, Svechnikov, Kovalchuck, silfverberg, Coleman, de Brusk, saad, Palat, galchenyuk.
I am thinking that dropping smith is the move here, especially given the weekly starts. Is there anyone else you’d consider dropping instead? I’ve tried to grab a few buy lows for the second half and feel like Schwartz may be the choice.
Thanks for your input!
I like Fiala. He is doing everything right now.
But yes I would drop Smith as well.
Schwartz probably has the highest ceiling in your format.
If fiala can stay consistent he could do well, though he doesn’t get much pp1.
Svechnikov is the dark horse here. Getting more pp1 and still learning the league. Could break out.

Without looking at all the numbers, Galchenyuk is someone I have my eye on based simply on all the injuries the Coyotes have right now.
- I said... "God damn this tablet is heavy!"
First, Smith is very droppable in weekly start formats.
Second, you have some great options on the wire. I like all of Schwartz, galchenyuk, fiala and even monitoring debrusk/svech/palat for their deployment (if any of them sneak onto line 1 and pp1 they are worth adding).
Easy answer is Schwartz because of his former pedigree and if you can catch him on a heater he's a must own. I'm with Moses though and would probably go galchenyuk right now.
Stream the spot for the hot hand with the best schedule though if you can.
Set roster weekly in H2H (Mon to Sun) - 16 Teams - start 6F, 3D, and 1G per week - Keep 2
Points: 2 G / 2 A / 1 PPG / 1 PPA / 1 Hat Trick / 1 SHG / 1 SHA / 1 GWG - 3 Goalie Win / 2 Goalie Loss in SO or OT / 5 goalie SO
Forwards:
C. McDavid, N. Kucherov, R. O'Reilly, J. Schwartz, J. Toews, J. Huberdeau, T. Toffoli, M. Granlund
Defense:
B. Burns, J. Klingberg, R. Josi, J. Slavin
Goalie:
J. Binnington
IR (2 max):
I'd go Palat easily - on a line w Kuch and the best PP in the league IMO.
Schwartz would be my second choice - keep a close eye. That line of him Schenn and Senko were dominant last ssn. He's just not on the top PP and hard to tell if he'll play to his highest ability w/ nagging injuries.
