Default Huge offer with keeper implications

Some background, this offer came from the last place team that someone just took over, so he's trying to set himself up for next season. I received a ridiculous offer of E. Kane/Greiss for Crosby/1st, I quickly shot it down with a bit a a snide remark. He countered that with E. Kane/Wheeler/Greiss for Crosby/1st, but I'd have to drop McElhinney and Dadonov....so it's a bit more than just the 1st rounder going back. A 1st round pick in a keep 40 has a lot of value and he's getting, arguably, the best keeper in the deal.

Kane/Wheeler is a good deal, Wheeler would replace Crosby as my 4th keeper (slight downgrade...both are aging), however, Greiss isn't much of an upgrade to McElhinney so I'd like to push him for M. Jones instead and send him back McElhinney and Dadonov.
Crosby/Dadonov/McElhinney/1st for Kane/Wheeler/Jones/pick? Maybe a high 5th? I'm going for a 3 peat and have been slipping the past few weeks.

How many of Wheeler, Kane and Jones are keepers for this last place team?

Oh good point...Jones and Wheeler. His keepers would end up being Mckinnon/Crosby/Pasta and he'd probably have to keep either Klingberg or Josi as our 4th needs to be a G or D.

Dadonov and McElhinney are useless to him, so I'm not sure why you'd both to add them? It's basically Crosby/1st for Wheeler/Jones/E.Kane. If I were him, I wouldn't add a pick back.

He's going to need to backfill those positions and both are better than what's available on the wire. I get the pick

So, after a ton of back and forth, we decided to take the goalies out of the equations and he asked for Gustafsson instead of Dadonov. The deal ended up being Crosby/Gus/3rd for Kane/Wheeler. It was important to me to not give up a 1st or 2nd and Crosby in this deal and it worked out pretty good. I take a slight hit in the keeper dept. but I now have to really good forwards heading into the playoffs. Now I need to fix my goalie situation.
