Default Tavares and Lindholm for Kucherov

    League in sig. Keep 2.

I've been after Kucherov all season and came home to this offer. I mash accepted.

Kuch replaces Tavares and I'll replace lindholm with zibanajed JVR / and trochek when he's back. Love lindholm and Tavares but I didn't want to look a gift horse in the mouth here.

    Curious what you all think...

Edit: for clarity it's Elias Lindholm

Kucherov is in a league of his own as far as the scoring race goes, so you're getting the best player, which will often win you the deal. Plus I have a feeling that Lindholm might cool off a bit (his shooting percentage is 18%).

Thanks Ian. Yes I also like going into next year with McDavid and Kucherov. In a 16 team league like this one, they would arguably go 1 and 2 in a re draft. Seems like an advantage for years to come.

you were bound to pay for Nikita but I just cannot say if it is worth or not at this point. He will not score 130 points and cannot see him outscoring these two on his own but since you have decent replacements in Mika and Trocheck the damage is greatly reduced. I do not see Lindholm slowing down, that lines chemistry is dynamic and because he is right handed he holds his value with the two lefties.

In a keep 2, this is a great deal for you. Moving forward, you know you're going into every season with 2 of the best 3 players in the league. If that doesn't help you sleep at night, I'm not sure what will.

    Nice trade.

I feel like in hindsight this could be a nice sell high deal for you, with Lindholm already surpassing career highs. Tough to lose Tavares but the Kucherov owner in my league would not part with him for this price.

Any time you have two keepers fighting for the Art Ross I think that almost has to be a win. Way to go!

in a keep 2 league, there is no question this is a massive win for you. You may have taken a bit of a hit this year, but your 2 keepers moving forward are top 2 in the league.

For some context in this league:

Kucherov is 1st in scoring with 180 points (14
    ahead of McDavid)

Lindholm - 13th in scoring with 133 points

Tavares - 27th in scoring with 115 points

I lost a deal earlier this season trading away wheeler and huberdeau for Tavares and Hamilton thinking Tavares would produce better than he has. He's a bit of a head scratcher because it's not like he's struggling. He has 50 points but he isn't scoring like an elite producer on the pp with only 9 points. I don't love him in front of the net on the pp (really limits his pp assists) even though I know it's good for the leafs. I also don't love that babcocks go to move is to split power play time and not play his stars 20 min a game. I believe it really does affect their fantasy value. It will keep their top players from being elite/top of the league fantasy producers.
