Now that it appears Andersen is back, did Hutchinson do enough to earn the backup spot for the remainder of the year? Or is it Sparks job and Hutchinson will get demoted to AHL? My goalie situation:

Hutchinson hasn't done anything to show he should be in the NHL ahead of Sparks, let alone in the NHL at all. He's an injury call-up.
I get his numbers in Toronto are solid, still don't have any faith in him long-term.

Hutchinson doesn't need waivers (right now), Sparks does. They paid a draft pick to have him as an AHL stopgap and solid #3, they won't want to lose the asset already.
