    Default Chabot for a 1st?

I might have an opportunity to get Chabot for my first round pick, in a keep 6. Should I do it?

We are normally a keep 8, but next year going to keep 6 for one draft and then back up to 8.

If I trade for Chabot, it would mean not keeping either Keller/Trocheck (haven’t decided between them who to keep) or Provorov.

I like Chabot a lot, but does giving up my first round plus not keeping one of the above mentioned players make sense?

So you don't get to keep an extra player (making it 7) after losing your first-round pick? I like Chabot too, but I'd be more likely to consider if I kept the 7th player or I was receiving what I know for sure is an elite player in return.

No, I would still have 6 keepers. So basically the question is: is Chabot an upgrade over those other options I already have, to be worth spending a 1st round pick on?

He might qualify as a slight upgrade, but not enough for me to lose a draft pick over.

Not worth spending a first on a potential small upgrade. A late pick? take the flier if you are so inclined.

My first inclination is to keep trochek and your first pick.

But I see defencemen get a pretty serious scoring bonus in league which makes it closer. Then problem is if you took this deal then guys like Keller and trochek will be available in the first round from your team alone. Those are pretty valuable players so even with the scoring bonus it's like saying you're trading trochek and Keller (or a player like Keller) for Chabot. I can't quite get there and would probably hold.
    Set roster weekly in H2H (Mon to Sun) - 16 Teams - start 6F, 3D, and 1G per week - Keep 2

    Points: 2 G / 2 A / 1 PPG / 1 PPA / 1 Hat Trick / 1 SHG / 1 SHA / 1 GWG - 3 Goalie Win / 2 Goalie Loss in SO or OT / 5 goalie SO

    Forwards:
    C. McDavid, N. Kucherov, R. O'Reilly, J. Schwartz, J. Toews, J. Huberdeau, T. Toffoli, M. Granlund

    Defense:
    B. Burns, J. Klingberg, R. Josi, J. Slavin

    Goalie:
    J. Binnington

    IR (2 max):
