That being said, i could see the Chargers coming out of the AFC easily. It's wide open this year as none of the teams are elite
Definitely fortunate to have gotten the 2-seed this year, and it's lining up to likely be facing a Texans team who are probably the most favourable of the four possible matchups.

Just so disappointing for the Chargers. Great year stuffed by New England and their home field advantage due to crappy division.

Everyone seems to be complaining about the officiating in this game too but it really didn't seem that bad to me. The only overly egregious call was the roughing the passer call on Chris Jones and it didn't affect the outcome of the game near as much as the call in the NFC game.
    Without me, it's only "aweso".

I thought it was bad both ways, so it's hard to point to one call like in the Saints game. AFC was just good teams led by two great QBs who both came up clutch. Coin flip gave NE the chance and they took it. Not sure they were better, just they happened to win.

Nicely said. I do wonder what the reasoning for not allowing both teams a shot is. Is it for game time reasons? If so....who freaking cares. Probably 3% of games go to overtime.

I think the "problem" the NFL was trying to solve was the perceived unfairness of a team winning a coin flip, making 3 or 4 first downs, and kicking a FG to end the game. So they only give a shot to the coin toss loser if its a FG.

I've read after the Saints fiasco that there is serious talk about letting pass interference be reviewed. That could make things interesting. Imagine if penalties (or lack thereof) could be challenged in the NHL. Hard to imagine how that would work...

Many coaches have been campaigning to have PI be reviewable for several years now. The CFL has it for goodness sake.
