Agreed. When the Hawks signed Manning, Philly fans came and told us how awful Manning is. Took about 5 games to realize they were 100% correct. The Hawks have started playing much better lately since they benched/waived Manning and Ruuta coupled with Connor Murphy and Gustav Forsling coming back. Plus, they put Seabrook on the 3rd pairing and Keith on the 2nd.

If Manning only had this season left on his deal I could just look past it, but he has next year too at 2.5
Not a huge Caggiula fan but he was 4th on Edm in goals over the last 2 seasons, now hes gone for a more expensive liability.

Chiarelli is closing in on Milbury for worst GM in my lifetime. And he's still got a chance to catch him, look out.

They are wasting little time un-chia-fying this team. Probably a tactic to sell season tickets, turning a corner, etc. Makes me wonder about chia and Gretzky's relationship and how the decision making went down prior to the firing.

Either way I like the moves so far. This team isn't making the playoffs and if somehow they went on a run and did they aren't going anywhere in the playoffs.

Id like to see pulj sent down next and the right shot Currie given a chance, he's earned it.

I'm all for bashing Chia but this is only half right. It was Sweeney who made those picks at 13,14,15, but Chia traded the Barzal pick + another for Griffen Reinhart so still completely boneheaded.
