I'm okay with bringing Manning in, I'm also assuming Hitchcock was consulted - Chiarelli needs to give Hitchcock some players he wants to go to war with.

The moves in a vacuum are fine if they team/coaches think they can make it work. Big picture though I don't like it at all. In the past couple years the teams that managed to achieve beyond expectations are smaller, faster and more skilled. Like I said this takes them farther down the opposite path.
