reddit hockey - HELP

So I finally had enough of the ridiculous costs of cable and decided to downgrade to just a basic TV package, which leaves me without TSN and Sportsnet. This leaves me with a bit of a hole to watch hockey games, but as a Leafs fan I figured I could get by considering they play on CBC every Saturday. So that covers one game per week + all Leafs playoff games are on CBC so that is a big bonus too. I've really enjoyed Sportsnet's #IceSurfing so that covers Tuesday nights as well. But without TSN, Sportsnet or Centre ICe/NHL Game Centre, I will still be missing out on a lot of hockey. Someone suggested getting on reddit because there are all sorts of streams available. So I went ahead and created a reddit account.... and I am lost. It is a bit overwhelming and a bit confusing. I'm not really sure what to do now that I have created an account. Surely it can't be as complicated as it first appears but I could definitely use a few pointers from regular users. Could anyone help me out? How do I find hockey (or any other sports streams) on reddit? Do I need to find specific accounts to follow for the Leafs or is hockey streaming in general just one account? If anyone could give me a quick tutorial and suggest some accounts to follow it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

I too got fed up. Tried really hard to go legit, and the companies give me nothing but a hard time. It's amazing that I was throwing money at them and they did everything they could to not take it. So here we are.

Same, its pretty pathetic how bad the customer service is with the major companies. If only DAZN could get NHL rights as well....

Like Eric said, a simple google search of anything similar to "nhl streams reddit" etc should take you to the page that lists all available games. From there just scroll to find the game you're looking for, and you'll have multiple options such as Home/Away feeds and HD/720 etc. I've had a little trouble finding World Junior games at times, but when it's free you can't complain!

What about a XB1/PS4? Either one has browser capabilities. If not, some higher end Tablets should be able to "screen mirror" to your smart TV.

Unfortunately I don't think there are twitter or reddit apps for smart tv's and I sure as hell am not going to attempt to access those sites via a smart tv browser every time there is a game on. I plan to eventually run an HDMI cable from my desktop to my smart tv but I am looking at 50-75' of cable required.

Chromecast or something like it is a simple alternative to that.

The subreddit is called r/nhlstreams and yes you can find any game with multiple feeds.

I use an app called castify, but any casting app should be able to cast to your tv. The subreddit will show you which streams are able to be casted, not all are. But if nothing else you'll be able to stream on your phone.

Anyone else having problems? All 3 games say “Not Broadcasted” right now. Did they put an end to this reddit or is this just coincidence? None of the games have actually dropped the puck yet but in the past they broadcasted pregame intros.

I just tried the first TOR/CBJ link and it works fine
