John Gibson
John Gibson sustained an upper-body injury on Thursday.
Gibson didn't come out for the second period or return to the contest. "We’ll have more of an assessment when we get home, probably in the days to come," Ducks coach Randy Carlyle said. Anaheim has Friday off, but then the Ducks will host Arizona on Saturday. They're already missing Ryan Miller due to a sprained MCL, so if Gibson is hurt too then Chad Johnson would become the de facto number one goalie.

If it's serious - this is going to get very interesting for Anaheim.
NO team in the NHL has been as dependent on their goalie this year as the Ducks.
The Ducks are 2nd worst in the NHL in shots against this year. (only behind OTT)

It suggest their skater-group is actually... pretty bad.
So how well do they fare with Chad effin Johnson in net?!? Oh, man...
And Jared Coreau & Kevin Boyle have both been shit in AHL.
The Ducks are BARELY hanging onto the 7th/8th spot in the West.
And VAN & EDM & MIN & STL could all make a 2nd half charge.
If Gibson's injury is serious... ANA is going to have to consider trading for somebody.

I own Gibson in a points only league where we are only aloud to make 3 moves per season. So needless to say, I am eagerly awaiting some news on his injury. I have a nice lead and I sit in first place, don;t want to piss that away waiting for Gibson to return.

Apparently Gibson was first off the ice at Ducks’ practice today which as we all know usually indicates the starting goalie. Ducks beat reported says tonight’s goalie will be a game time decision. Looks like this was nothing more than a scare, thankfully.
