    Default Laine assist

What is up. Laine takes the shot in OT goalie stops it and sheiffelle roofs the winner.
Why no assist for the love of god? Someone don't like Laine?
Even if a Dman swats at it, in past that still is an assist.
This could screw me. Anyone have opinion?

Not saying it's right but I believe the way it will be scored is no shot for Laine, poke check for vas as in Tampa regained possession, Schief rips it home unassisted. Personally I think that both Laine and buff should get assists but I can see the argument as Laine didn't shoot it. Had he shot it and there been a rebound then there would be no doubt he'd get the primary assist and buff would get the secondary. Frustrating though fantasy wise if that assist was necessary for a win.

I saw that play too because I have Buff and my H2H opponent has Laine. Thinking the poke check by Vasilevskiy nullified the assists to both, but usually the assists are awarded on plays like that anyway because Vas simply pushed the puck and didn't really try to retain possession of it. Was thinking at first maybe this was an error on the scoring system, but a bit of a head scratcher considering the home team was Winnipeg and usually home team scorers can be generous to their own.

The owner of Laine in my league has lost by a single point this week. If he got credit for the assist then he would win the week by a single point. Funny how much these can matter in fantasy, the NHL should do a better job of being consistent when it comes to scoring.

Here's the goal if anyone wants to take a look:

Ouch. That sucks for him. I lost my week regardless but I would have liked to see Laine keep the point anyway. He can use some more assists.

A lot of the time it will take a couple days for the change to take effect. I lost a week through CBS 2 days after the week had ended due to a change on a goal, even after the standings showed initially that I tied.
