Nope. Let him sit on the wire.
Keep an eye on Matt Murray & PIT though.
Who knows where Murray is... but he could reclaim the net in PIT.
So im in 1st place but my goalies are my weakness and i have been surviving off streaming , but i dont want to waist all my aqcuisitions on goalies. (Not team in Sig)
Talbot is available and we can only have 3 tenders would u drop any of M.Smith , C.DeSmith or T.Greiss for him?

I'd leave him for now. I see a split in Edmonton until at least the new year the way things are going. Both goalies playing fairly well as of late and should both get opportunities. Ultimately I think he'll win the net back but that's not guaranteed and who knows when.
Keep an eye on Murray and if it's clear he's playing well and getting the bulk of the starts over DeSmith then there may be a more opportune time to swap him for talbot but I don't think that time is now. Somewhat similar situation in Pittsburgh only they are a better team than the oilers so id hold him for now.

As I looked at this more, I still agree with not grabbing Talbot. I am now more convinced that Kos keeps the #1 job. As my signature indicates, I love statistics. So I went and pulled stats for Talbot/Kos and 4 other goalies (thanks Corsica). Not only is Talbot performing significantly below Kos, he's also noticably worse than Brian Elliott (who I actually like when healthy) Robin Lehner and Thomas Greiss. Add to that the fact that he's a year older than Kos and is a UFA at the end of the year and I don't see how Hitch can go back to him as #1 any time soon.

Goalie #1 is pretty good.
That's enough torturing of the numbers for 1 day. Anything can happen in the future, but there is nothing objective now that says Talbot should get the #1 job back any time soon.
