Cory Schneider
What's a reasonable price to offer for Cory Schneider looking at my team? Obviously, he is a buy-low candidate but do we think he'll work his way back? Let me know what you think.

It's kind of a perfect storm at this point, as Schneider is playing poorly and the team in front of him isn't doing him any favors. I like the idea of you thinking of buying low, but I'm not sure there's a price you should be willing to pay in a keeper league - maybe Kadri?

He's gone almost an entire calender year without winning a game, not sure he's even worth a buy low. He's got a near bottomless pit to climb out of at this point.

The problem for you to get Schneider is you are in a keeper league. Everyone know that he will eventually regain form, confidence and his net. So he could have no value right now, but he will get a lot more at some point. I own him and I am aware that the return in a trade would not be good enought. I prefer to wait a couple months and keep him or trade him at that time for a great player.

I'd pass on that. TBH I wouldn't offer anything for Schneider in a 10-team keeper. He's almost WW fodder if he isn't already.

Cory Schneider
It wasn't that long ago, three years maybe, that he was an elite goalie. Have injuries really reduced him to what we've seen the past 2 1/3 seasons?
Is a change of scenery an answer or is he done?

Schneider might not get back to form given all his injuries. He got rocked again tonight. I would look elsewhere.

sorry, I didn't see this thread before I posted a similar thread after the 3 goals on 7 shots tonight. 3 years ago he was still an elite goalie. He's been bad for 2 1/3 seasons now. Could be injuries have taken their toll. There's nothing to suggest that even a change of scenery would help him. He looks slower and his confidence is shot. I agree with the WW fodder comment. Speaking of which, what's available on your wire?

I've said this many times, playing goalie is a lot different than playing any other position in hockey. I've been a goalie for over 40 years (yes I am old) and a lot of the game is mental and if you aren't healthy there, then you won't do well. I am not sure what is going on with Schneider. The skill is obviously there as we have seen for years but right now, it's just not coming together for him. I am not sure if a change in scenery is the answer or not. A lot would depend on the defensive scheme of that new team.

This year is a write off for Schneider. I do think he can have a bounce back season next year though.
